FBI agents and grisly-looking skeletons mean Bones is back

Since Feb. 3, fans have had to suffer through the Bones winter hiatus, a period of time used to shoot more episodes of the popular prime time crime drama series. But the remaining eight episodes should prove to be worth the wait.
On April 1, the show returns with the new episode “The Bones on the Blue Line.” Booth (played by David Boreanaz) and Brennan (played by Emily Deschanel) are called into action. A train Dr. Sweets (played by John Francis Daley) is riding on derails and human remains are discovered. Due to the train wreck, Sweets suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder.
What the fans are really waiting for, though, is the 100th episode which airs on April 8. “The Parts in the Sum of the Whole” goes back in time to when the crime fighting duo first met. The relationships of all of the characters are examined and explained.
David Boreanaz was given the honor of directing the episode.
“I’m very fortunate to be working with such a great crew and a great cast and being a part of something so special,” said Boreanaz.
What makes the show so special is the writers’ ability to create a solid plot with a lot of excitement as well as great relationships between the characters.
The introduction of the lab interns has added another dynamic to the relationship aspect of the show, which means that Zack Addy (played by Eric Milligan) will not be making a permanent return as Dr. Brennan’s lab assistant.
“The ‘squintern’ thing is working very well for us, which is why it happened in the first place: to bring more and more stories into the lab,” said creator Hart Hanson. “And that’s going to be more and more necessary as time goes on in Bones. For production reasons, we need stories in the lab, and the rotating interns provide that.”
Another exciting hint about the upcoming episodes is that a wedding is on the way. While most Bones fans wish it were Booth and Brennan tying the knot, it is most likely going to be Booth’s brother, Jared and his fiancée. Some other candidates are Hodgins and Angela, Cam and her new love interest or Wendell and Angela.
No matter what happens, fans will be happy to have new episodes of Bones back on Thursdays at 8 p.m. on FOX.
